| San Jose Art Academy offers students of all ages many different programs to meet a variety of arts enrichment needs to our schools and communities. Our trained and dedicated staff of art professionals develops and delivers program that offer dynamic, exciting, cutting edge curriculum that teaches foundational art concepts. Class sizes range from 10 to 20 students, where students are exposed to solid educational principles, great teaching practices, stimulating activities and the best quality materials. Classes are also taught in various schools, including Taylor Elementary School, Challenger Schools, and Pomeroy Elementary School. Students are able to use various techniques including (but not limited to): Drawing (pencil, pen and ink, color pencil, oil crayon, charcoal, chalk, pastel) Painting (oil, watercolor, acrylic) Mixed Media and 3-D (clay, Model Magic, printmaking) Our curriculum is based on California Visual Arts Standards, creating a discipline-based art education environment that is focused on students' personal expression. |
